Is the stairlift easy to use?

All our stairlifts have large paddle style switches / buttons , just press in the direction you wish to travel, it couldn’t be easier.

Can other people still use the stairs?

Yes our modern stairlifts are very slim, when not in use the stairlift can be folded up to make it very compact.

How is the stairlift powered?

Today’s stair lifts have two batteries which are charged up via a transformer that is normally plugged into a standard mains power socket. If you have a power cut the stairlift can still be used.

How long does it take to install a stairlift?

A straight stairlift can take from 1 - 3 hours , a more complex curved stairlift can take 3 - 6 hours. Plus time for a full demonstration.

What if there is a problem with the stairlift?

First and foremost, it is important for the customer to check the diagnostic control panel for the “code" it is displaying. All of the codes are listed in the booklet given to the customer at the time of installation. Many times it is a simple adjustment the client is able to take care of. Otherwise we may be able to resolve the issue over the phone. If not we will set up an appointment to get the unit repaired as soon as possible. We understand that you need the stairlift to be working at all times. You can call us 24/7.

Does the stairlift fix to the wall?

All chair lifts are fixed to the stair treads not the wall, the exception being a straight stair lifts with a transfer / bridging platform.

Do you buy back the stairlift if we no longer need it?

Yes ! We offer "Guaranteed buy back" on stair lifts we install. We can agree a buy back price on the day of your survey and quotation, you will have this in writing and it will be valid for 12 months from the first day of installation. We do buy back chairlifts after 12 months for a reduced amount .
