Straight Stairlifts

The Acorn / Brooks 120 , 130 and T700 Straight Stairlifts are the most affordable option provided by Acorn Stairlifts. However, they are only designed for a straight staircase with no curves, turns or intermediary landings. If you have a two-story home with a straight staircase or a single story home with a basement, this is likely to be the best option for you.

Our Acorn and Brooks straight stairlifts use a single rail attached to your staircase (not your wall) They have a unique slim line design that ensures there is plenty of space left for other members of the family to use the stairs .

Brooks are Britain’s original stair lift , In 1972 Mr Frederick Brooks , a former engineer designed a stairlift for his wife who suffered from arthritis , over forty years later Brooks like Acorn are the top selling stairlifts in the country .

All of our straight stair lifts operate with a smooth start and stop mechanism that allows you to glide effortlessly up and down the stairs .

  • The stairlift seat swivels at the top of the stairs and safely locks at 45 and 90 degrees. No need to twist awkwardly when rising from the chair , This makes getting on and off the lift safer and easier. At the top of the stairs it acts as a safety barrier when the seat is turned .
  • Our Acorn and Brooks straight stairlifts are available to buy or rent , the reconditioned 120 models can be installed from £699 , making our stairlift prices very hard to beat .
  • Our newer reconditioned 130 and T700 models can be installed from £950 .
  • * Some times a staircase with a turn at the top can be altered to take a straight stairlift , Look at our ” Budget curved stairs solutions ” Page .
